Instrument Rentals

Instrument Rental Policy

University-owned instruments are available for rental to eligible students based on instructional and ensemble needs, as well as instrument availability.  Instrument Rentals are available during the school semester by arrangement. ONLY MUSIC MAJORS and ENSEMBLE ENROLLED STUDENTS ARE ELIGIBLE 

Eligible Students

  • Music majors
  • Music minors
  • Non-music majors who are currently enrolled in a university music ensemble requiring use of the rented instrument

Non-Music Majors
Non-music majors who are not enrolled in a university music ensemble are not eligible to rent university-owned instruments. Enrollment in private lessons, prior participation in an ensemble, personal practice needs, or other individual circumstances do not qualify a non-music major for instrument rental unless specifically authorized by the Music Department.

NO REFUNDS
All instrument rental fees are NON-REFUNDABLE. Once a rental agreement has been processed, no full or partial refunds will be issued under any circumstances, including but not limited to:

  • Early return of the instrument
  • Withdrawal from an ensemble, course, or academic program
  • Discontinuation of instrument use
  • Changes in personal circumstances or scheduling

By completing the rental process, the student acknowledges and agrees to this no-refund policy.

Prior to the end of the semester, all instruments must be returned after the completion of your final ensemble or jury.
