The School of Music at San Francisco State University invites applications for part-time lecturer positions (non-tenure track) for Fall 2023 to Spring 2024 term.
The School of Music was founded more than seventy years ago and has trained generations of performers, scholars, and educators throughout the world. With an emphasis on rigor, interdisciplinarity, and equity, The School of Music prepares talented musicians for careers in the twenty-first-century arts community. Applicants are required to upload the following documents:
· A cover letter expressing interest in the classes you would like to teach.
· A current Curriculum Vitae (including details of current and previous teaching experience: date of teaching, institution, class-size)
· The names, addresses, phone numbers, and emails of two professional references who are in a position to comment on the applicant’s current or previous teaching experience.

Lecturer A/2 Full-Time Equivalent Salary Range: $4,530 – $6,056 per month
Lecturer B/3 Full-Time Equivalent Salary Range: $5,405 – $11,994 per month
Lecturer C/4 Full-Time Equivalent Salary Range: $6,190 – $13,172 per month
Lecturer D/5 Full-Time Equivalent Salary Range: $7,794 – $13,797 per month
Anticipated hiring range is generally at or near the minimum of the appropriate range, commensurate with education and experience. Most new lecturers are hired at the Lecturer A or B rank.

Graduate students are employed as Practice Room Monitors for School of Music practice rooms, primarily during evening and weekend hours. Room Monitors will be present on site while practice rooms are being use, monitoring for health, safety and compliance. Room Monitors may lock and unlock rooms for students needing practice space
Graduate students are employed as Recording Studio Monitors must receive training on the proper operation of studio equipment. RSM's are present in the Recording Studio, primarily during business hours, on site while the studio is being used, monitoring for health, safety and compliance.
