Allen Biggs performs professionally as a percussionist with many of the Bay Area’s leading ensembles. A specialist in large percussion set-ups, he was the first percussionist to play the 48 instruments required for the hit Broadway show Wicked. He performs regularly with the Berkeley, California, Oakland and Santa Rosa symphonies. A great advocate of contemporary music, he performed for many years at the Cabrillo Music Festival, and recently put together a festival of Frank Zappa’s music. He plays drums with his band Jamalicious as schedule allows.
